Default Pipex - one month free (or two months free if switching)

I've just noticed that i can refer people with my Pipex account. Fully recommened for online games and stuff! (and i've tried a few ISPs now)
If you know anyone who is looking for a decent/cheap internet connection just send me a PM with their email address and i'll get pipex to send an email back with the following offer:
Two FREE months of broadband if they are switching from another provider,
    or
One FREE month if they are signing up as a completely new broadband customer i.e. not connecting from another provider.

Well I wouldn't say pipex is cheap at the mo, not compared with others I've been looking at. Oh and don't forget it looks like a 24/7 cap on p2p traffic, which *seems* to be having some effect on xbox live gaming as well (source: support newsgroups)

Good luck with the referrals. I got 3 free months in total from my refs 4-5 years back.

I've tried a few others over the last two years but keep coming back to Pipex. All the cheaper ones are horrendous at peak times. All they are good for is browsing and they seemed poor at that too.

    Good luck then mate.

Sorry to "off-topic" your thread this way, but the start of this coincided with the BT Max activation. It would appear (reading posters experiences) that Pipex are throttling p2p to start with, to around 20k/s, doing each realm in turn (xtreme4, xtreme2 etc). I'm not on the realming domain (dsl.pipex.net) as I've been with them 5 years, but I've been totally capped off. No limewire, no torrents, nowt. Latest postings on pipex.xtreme.support suggest it's creeping round the country slowly.

Just to add that some folk are having success turning encryption on within their torrent clients

    /end off topic

Hope this doesn't affect any replies you get to your referrals

I get 1 month free and so does the person signing up on UKonline. I referred a friend who was told he couldn't get broadband at his address, they still gave me a month free.
