    Whine The Insanity of eastenders.

I used to enjoy Eastenders, the days of steve owen were quite good. The last three years or so I've just been watching it because its so shit that its actually become funny, but now when I watch it, I almost feel uneasy about it. Its like the people behind producing it are completely insane. Some scenes and stories you just think to yourself, are they for real or am I the one out of touch with how life should be according to eastenders?

For example one episode started showing phils nightmare with johnny allen, it was pathetic. Then the whole "bad boys" trip with grant and phil, how much more ridiculous and cringey could that have got ffs? And last night it got even sillier with jake spilling his life story out to a salesman (the ginger guy from game on) Then the whole game of trying to run jake over with the 4x4. Every bit of dialogue in eastenders is so unrealistic in comparison to a real life scenario. Whenever you get two people talking they seem to spill out their whole life story like everyone gives a shit.

Its almost hard to think how the people behind it actually have a job with the bbc, and even get paid decent wages for it, when your average joe off the street could come up with better ideas.

Agreed mate, it's shit these days.

What makes me laugh most is when a character has a spontaneous personaility change within a week.

i will have to agree with some, but i do watch it every week. Some of storylines i think good god and some i think this is pretty good.

i agree past years it was great too with different characters, although with johnny allen prob getting locked up you just feel like something else is going to happen, plus grant with jayne, i mean ian finds out grants banging her hell prob do a runner with ben, then itll be phil and grant in the 4x4 giving chase, then something will happen and one will end up dead etc. you can just feel it.

    they should sack teh following

Pauline, Sonia, Pat, Peggy, and Dot. The sad thing is, those I just listed are considered as the shows most important assests according to the stupid whore in charge. I read something recently about Sonia handing her notice in, and she was promised her exit would not involve death, so they can keep her part open for her to return....ridiculous.

I'm not sure I can remember any good stories recently? These new stories which are coming up just sound like alternate takes on stories which have already been done endless times by eastenders.

The producers think that just by having phil and grant on the screen they've done their job, well its not working anymore, they are both crap at the moment.

The actor who plays Martin says he's leaving too

Good move I say. The Sonia and Martin saga is getting pretty tiresome.

Perhaps they'll leave the square together with their daughter, after her nan croaks it?

    Yep :

    EastEnders' Martin to leave soap

Both Natalie Cassidy and James Alexandrou are leaving

EastEnders actor James Alexandrou is to leave the BBC One soap opera, producers have confirmed.
Alexandrou, who has played Martin Fowler for 10 years, told The Sun: "Having just turned 21, I feel it is an appropriate time to leave."
Fellow actor Natalie Cassidy, who plays Martin's wife Sonia, announced earlier this week she was also leaving.
A BBC spokeswoman said: "James has been a fantastic member of the cast and he goes with our best wishes."
Alexandrou told The Sun he would be happy to return to the show at a later date.
"I owe everything to the show," he said. "I would love to come back one day, that is, if EastEnders will have me."
Martin's storylines have seen him sent to prison for killing Sonia's fiance in a car accident, having already got her pregnant at 15 and watching her give the baby up for adoption. The characters married in 2004, but Martin has cheated on his wife, while Sonia has left him for another woman.

I think its a shame Martyn is leaving - although I bet he was pleased as **** when the wrote Sonia turning into a lesbo, as he didnt have to kiss that ugly bitch anymore....the guy that plays him is class imo, he just has had some SHITE written for him. There is no doubt he has potential to get some nice nitty gritty story lines...so thats Paulines last link to the square - yet we still see the tiredlooking Wendy Richards ugly face on screen every episode

I perfer the comedy side of enders if anything, most of the 'serious' stuff is just so boring. They do those entire episodes now and again when it's just two cast members having a one on one for literally the entire epsiode, when I see that coming on, I turn over to UK gold and have a grope whilst I'm watching Wendy Richards in all her glorious prime in Are you being Served.
