Went for a swim

Went for a swim today, as there's a a 50 meter pool just around the corner from where I live.
They had like 4 or 5 lanes there, and then a massive area reserved for people who were doing some sort of water gymnastics.

So there I was, in the pool, and it's been awhile since I last swam, so was really looking forward to it. Well, I tried to make a good time, as I had decided to swim 1 kilometer. It took me 30 minutes to accomplish, the reason for this was really really old people in every lane slowing me down!? Why can't they have lanes for old people separately what what what?!

And all I could think of when I was swimming behind them and trying to overtake "I bet he/she is pissing in the pool right now as he/she is floating away there", so it wasn't a great experience at all.

just getting visions of looking up to see some monster phat batty wrapped in 2 meters worth of garish swimsuit...

i recall the mother in law getting a "loss an inch" swimsuit once...
not only did she insist on making me look at her she managed to break the paper tape that came with it...
