Gimps not leaving feedback on eBay

Why don't they do it? They buy something off you that you know to be cheap and brand new, you post it the next day so they get it quickly , you leave them feedback because they wee a good customer and what do they do?

As a seller you dont want to leave feedback until they have for you, it just leaves you open to being held to ransom by it.

I am a funny bastard about feedback and usually don't leave it till I have been left it whether buyer or seller. I got left positive the other week a minute after somebody paid. Now that is dumb.

I too only leave fb now AFTER they have done so because some **** bought a mobile phone from me (brand new) and left +ve then over a MONTH later they left neg claiming it was scratched! - ****s!

I dont mind as a buyer leaving feedback once the item arrives, can't imagine a situation where the seller would have any reason to leave bad if I've paid. But as a Seller I allways wait, cos some people think ebay is like fukin argos, and it aint.

If I am selling something (and I only sell good stuff) I leave feedback when they have paid, they've done their bit in the transaction.
I get my feedback when they have received it, that's how it should work. Okay, not everybody leaves it, that's how it goes. If I get an email from a seller saying please leave me feedback and I will leave mine I politely explain my viewpoint and they are usually okay.

As for saying you don't leave Dabs feedback, well that's a bit asinine, isn't it? This is a marketplace not a shop, and you can leave reviews if you choose.

lin, I don't leave feedback until I have received it either, the reason being that I want to make sure the item reached the customer OK and that they were satisfied with it first. If not then they could leave me bad feedback before I've had the chance to correct the problem.

It's not a selfish thing, it's just that if something goes wrong it's generally on the sellers side and not the payers.

Also, as Cenus_ said, alot of people think it's like argos and if they don't like the item/it arrives late/cost 10p less postage than they paid, they want a refund etc.

Of course there's alot of bad sellers out there too, the unfortunate thing about ebay's feedback system is it can't be easily changed, yahoo auctions were much better for this.
