Code needed for Ford 2006

Selling my (broken) Mondeo this weekend, so i've taken out my Sony system that has been with me through 3 cars now.
The serial for the ford radio is L073436, there is a number written on a sticker on the casing (3554) but that does'nt seem to work, unless im not putting it in properly?
