Im glad I just read ths post because I was seriously coniderig making the move to them . I thought their fairuser policy was a lot better tha that of F2s.

To ensure everyone gets a fair share of our High Performance we have implemented a 'Fair Use' policy with a 50GB per month Peak Time transfer allowance – this applies to data transferred between the hours of 8am and Midnight, seven days a week. Once the allowance is hit, users will still be able to connect – but limited to 64Kbps transfer rate. Any data transferred between Midnight and 8am does not count towards the Data Transfer Allowance.
Unused monthly allowance can be carried over and ‘banked’ for a maximum of one month. So, if one month only 30GB is used, 20GB will be carried over to the following month – giving an allowance of 70GB. If 40GB is used in the second month, 10GB will be available to transfer to the next month.
In the very unlikely event that users hit the Fair Usage allowance they have the option of purchasing additional 'Peak Time' data transfer at 99p per additional 1GB, charged in 2GB increments.

Finally being profiled at last on Eclipse - getting between 450/700KBs since last night. Certainly gonna stick it out for my free 30 day period to see how it goes.

What I do like about Eclipse is the FUP. You are only monitored between 6PM & Midnight (until they change their T&C's, lol)

Hope you guys get sorted - keep us updated.

I'm with Zen and never had a problem, I signed up before march 28th so I have no cap at all on my 1mb package and I'm paying 29.99 /month but its worth it.

If I was to regrade to maxdsl my line is supported to 3.5mb and that would give me a cap of 50 gig or something /month which at the moment I'm not willing to do.

On the whole zen has been great and never really had much problems

    Dear Customer,

    ADSL Service: XXXXXXXXXXX

We are sure you are aware of the varying speeds offered by our service and this is something we have been battling to resolve over the past few weeks. Regrettably we have been experiencing a number of issues, many of which have been beyond our control, and despite our best efforts we have not been able to improve the download speeds to a level that we would find acceptable in the long term.

Furthermore, as a result of further contractual changes from our suppliers it is now evident that it is no longer viable to offer the service at the price point and terms offered. Although the company could increase prices and change the service structure, we have decided that it would be in the best interests of all our customers to stop providing ADSL service entirely. This is done pursuant to our terms and conditions, specifically 13.3.3.2 and 23.1.

Your MAC has been issued already and is available on the Support section of our website. You can log in using your RADIUS details. We would ask you to migrate immediately; we can not guarantee that service will be continued past 6th June 2006.

Please ensure you cancel any standing order with your bank. Credit card payments are no longer being taken. Refunds for part-paid periods of service will be dealt with on a case by case basis; invoices will be cancelled or credited where appropriate. All existing support issues have been closed and we would ask that you only contact support for urgent issues or to notify if you have not received your MAC.

We would like to reiterate that this is not a decision we have taken lightly and are as disappointed as you that we have not been able to provide the same level of service as we first did when ADSL Max was launched. Unfortunately the speed issues and now the pricing issues are factors beyond our control. Thanks for sticking with us and good luck with your new ISP.

    Kind Regards,

    The Directors

enta have changed their billing to 95% percentile instead of per curcuit which has obviously crippled him. They were using like 20% of entas bw but only accounted for 1% of the connections.

the business model was fine but just didnt allow for any changes

    Hi
I spoke to a a guy at an ISP today that has 4 x 622 centrals and dont have anything mentioned on adslguide. they offer 8meg unlimited but they have a capped offer at 150gig a month for £31.99, includes access to usenet, email and webspace. believe it or not their support is on an 0800 number LOL.
He asked me not to post on forums as they dont want an influx as they like it just the way it is!
so for more details PM me
admins this is not a refferalthing as to my knowledge they dont offer one - but I not with them yet anyway.
    cheers
    LS
