    Default Evolution DSL

As ive just requested my mac code from pipex to go for evolution, thot id do the same kinda idea as cueball did for Be internet and post how it goes with them... being as they are pretty new and are offering max regrades.

also for the other members in the process of migrating to evolution (or anyone else, preferably eclipse or nildram) can post their experience and results when connected and upgraded to max.

Everyone is flocking to evolution in droves, I was gonna go for them myself but pipex turned my throttling off.

I raped info on evolution and the only problem seemed the no phone support, my problem with them might be that they can't substantiate what they are offering with an influx of new users, time will tell.
But a 1 month contract is good and very tempting tbh.

im also dubious about wether they can handle the influx of heavy load users from pipex too, but at 1 month contract term... who cares.

Your ADSL order at Evolution Broadband Ltd is complete.

    What's Next?
You will receive another email in the next few days confirming your expected connection date. A few days before this date, you will receive another email containing your RADIUS username and password, as well as access details to your POP3 and FTP accounts. Keep these details safe! When your ADSL line is connected you will need to enter the RADIUS details into your router or software.

Assuming there are no problems with your telephone line, BT will take 5 to 7 working days to connect a new ADSL order, however this is only a guide and exchange congestion or other circumstances beyond our control may cause this date to be delayed.

If you are migrating your ADSL to Evolution you should expect a few minutes of downtime while your line is changed over.

The day your line is connected reflects the contractual start date and you should ensure Evolution receives each monthly payment in advance of this date to ensure continuity of service. If you are paying by standing order, please ensure the monthly payment is before this date. A credit card payment will be taken on this date.

If there are any problems with your line or we need further information, we will be in touch with you. Please note, in a small number of cases it may not be technically possible to provide the selected ADSL service on your selected telephone number and if this is the case you will be contacted and given alternatives or if no alternatives are available your credit card payment will be refunded.

This email forms notice under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 (as amended) that your service may be provided in less than 7 working days and you will not be able to cancel the contract once the provision of service has begun. The service start date will be determined by the date you receive the email containing your service access details. If you do not agree to this term then please contact EvolutionDSL customer services by reply email immediately so that your order can be cancelled.

    Thanks again for choosing EvolutionDSL!

Do we know what kind of infrastructre evolution have got?

I'm a little concerned that by offering this deal they'll get a rush of customers and not have the capacity to support all the migrating 'heavy' users.

I'll hang fire I think until Evolution have proved they've got the capacity to cope.

Dont wanna put a downer on anything but i've been with evolution for around 2 weeks and its completely shite. You'll get good downloads for a few days and it'll progressively go worse.

    ADSL MAX

Sync'ed for last 14 days at 8128 download and 448 upload.

The exchange i'm running off has always been stable and has no contention issues at all.

Current download speed between 1kb/s and 15kb/s

Last ISP was Ukonline. I was pushing a consistant 230kb/s download.

Before going to Evolution i input figures into a good few speed testers and i was told i'd be looking at 7000 - 8000kbps.

The most i've actually got on this service was 4500kbps (consistantly).

    Stay away!
