    Default compressing photos

    i tried to upload my first pic with my new camera and was told by d.f that the file was to big.. how do i compress them so i can upoload to here

    What I tend to do is right click them and select edit. The I use MS paint to "save as.." and select jpeg, which seems to bring them right down in size. Then I upload them to photobucket.com which resizes (again) if still too large, and it also gives me a IMG link which I paste into my posts.

    In fact I'm sure slarti did a sticky on this sometime back. Maybe not.

    Paint shop Pro is good for resizing stuff just when you go to save as just hit the options tab and change the setting there

    Use Photoshop and Imageready. The best at this sort of thing and in my opinion the best for everything I do with pictures.
