got a job interview need some help !!!!

hello

i got a job interview tomo at 9:30am for a sales managers postition at a computer company now i know that a couple of the questions they are gonna ask me are

how can we compete with PC world?

and another one is that i have to sell them a piece of hardware i have the cjoice of dvd-rom, NIC, and a router i am going to choose to sell them the router i shall start by saying this:

"howmany computers do you currently have in your household sir\madam"
lets just say he/she says 3
"and how many of those do you currently use the internet on"
lets say he says just 1 because i can only pay for one connection
"well sir\madam with this broadband router you could have all of your pcs connected to the internet at the same time, firstly you will need a network card in all of the pcs i suggest buying a 10\100 network card so that in the future you can use these for up to 100mb broadband service, you then connect your cable modem to the router and all of the pc's the cd provided will guide you through the install process, with this router all set up you can access the internet from any of the pc's in your house and you dont even have to have the main pc on to use it.

now thats all i can think of can anyone help me with some ideas to say for the first question and let me know if the sales part sounds ok and if theres anyhing i should take out or anything extra i should say

i really need to get this job as my wife is expecting and i am out of work

Any suggestions, well yeh!

Simplify things. Asume the customer knows nothing about PC`s, such as what a 10/100 network card is and explain that briefly.

What if the pc`s are all in different rooms? Have you thought of offering a wireless option? You need to go into a little more detail, and make sure all options are covered else when they start asking questions you may end up lost for words.

My suggestion with this router is:

"Oy, sprog, why should I buy this network-ma-jig"

"Thank you sir, how many PC`s do you wish to get online?"

"3 guv"

"Ok, are they in the same room"

"why!??"

"Well, if they are then you can go for the wired option, using cables to link each pc to the router, thus sharing the internet between each pc"

"But they aint. Sprogs got one, ones in the outhouse and ones in the dogs basket"

"Fair enough. Cabling could be messy, and the dog could get chew happy so wireless would be the best choice."

"oh...wireless...how much then"

"you`d be looking at about �50 for the router, and if you pc`s are not wireless enabled then �20 for a wireless adapter for each"

"fook...a ton"

"Yes, but for that you get completely wire free networking and also a years guarantee and after sales support"

"Will I need a wall of fire?"

"The router has a firewall built in that will be a great security feature and also we have this Norton product with antivirus and firewall for �30. This would be additonal security and would really give you peace of min"

"Ok, then as I said, if you get home and you pc`s are wireless already then just bring the extra adapter back with you receipt and we`ll gladly refund it or offer credit."

You want to make sure that you simplify things considerably, and dont go using techo-babble if you can help it. Also, convey confidence.

As its a managers job you will also need to show managing ability.

You may wish to have a quick browse of the store before hand to cross-sell anything, or pickup any current specials. For example, if PC World had a wireless router and usb adapter bundled, then that would save the customer money, thus creating a good experience.
