All these embedded Video files

Does anyone know a way of saving them to HD ?

I know for Youtube files as per sticky in video section.

But things like google ones and loads of other sites that have them embedded, anyone know how to rip them from the sites ?

I just go into my temp internet files and get em from there once I have watched em (or is that too simple a solution and you are on the way down to Liverpool to spank me for thinking you hadnt already done all that)

but some are missing not all tho

Google also has an option to save them as MP4 or google video..

A few things I do mate..

Use this app:

Make sure you select what site/type you are wanting in the little window to the right where you paste in the url. I've noticed when using this one it can often come up with 'error' of some sorts for a few times, but just keep pasting in the URL and after a while, it will connect.

Also this app seems to be useful as well:

http://www.enriquepuertas.com/?p=22

On some sites with embedded video, you can click on view - source at the top of IE, then press CTR+F, type in various video extensions one at a time (wmv,flv,avi etc) and it will show you if they are they. If you get one, copy and paste the link into a new browser window and it should DL to your tmp folder and play it with windows media player, whilst it's playing, click file - save media as..

In Firefox there's a handy greasemonkey extension call embed-a-matic that puts a link to embedded files on the page...

I normally right click and select properties. Then copy the URL and open in a new browser window and select save instead of open.
