Plot:Spoiler:Bruce Willis plays an ageing, alcoholic cop who needs to escort a witness 16 blocks to the courthouse for a trial. Unfortunately for him, the process isn't as simple as that, as people want the witness dead. He is to testify in a case against a number of crooked police officers, all of whom are understandably unwilling to let this happen- let the action begin
Comments: After what is a slow start the action begins to pick up and ultimately this is a very good film. Although not as action packed as earlier works starring Bruce Willis it nonetheless has its share of action. I wouldn't recommend going to see this with a partner though as it doesn't really have anything in it for women. Also, although we have seen Wills as an older action hero in Sin City, here he really has slowed down (but can, and does, still do the business). An interesting story punctuated with som good action sequences with an overriding theme of redemption.
Rating: Slower than you may expect but still very good 7/10
