Invasion Axed!

Freshman sci-fi series Invasion has been cancelled by ABC, according to various reports at the weekend.

The news of the show's axe comes ahead of the network's upfronts presentation on Tuesday.

Although having a prime slot in the network's schedule - Lost was its lead-in - Invasion dropped from 17 million to just 9 million viewers over the course of its first season.

Some hope remains that a second season may materialise, however: new network The CW is rumoured to be interested in picking it up from ABC for 2006-07.

The final episode airs this Wednesday (May 17) in the US and Sunday, May 28 in the UK

it was getting a bit shite tbh.. lol

i kinda lost interest in the last few eps and only half watched them.

I thought the opposite, it lost its way for while mid series but the last 3 eps or so have been great

Same here ... the recent ones have been really good. Mind you I recon they could only have got one more series out of it anyway.

yep agree with above, first couple were shit then middle lot was a dip from okay to boring to okay again and now it's going up again to be well good

Oh man, can't beleive they're letting it finish like it did, looks like they were totally expecting a second season and so never wrapped things up - ooops
