Default Battery Grip for Canon EOS 350D - Advice Plz.

Thinking of getting this for my camera...

Battery Grip for Canon EOS 350D

It's not made by Canon but my question is will it do the job or is it a case of 'only buy canon'.

    Thanks in advance

I got one recently and it improved the feel of the camera no end. I went for a UK original version and paid a very similar amount to what that one is up for. Click me to see...

My only reservation about getting one from China and a patent one at that is the quality.. Might not be as good as an original, plus one of the replica batteries I brought previous from a china seller has died already, it only held a limited amount of charge after about two weeks, now it has dies, and it's a higher rated battery than that that came with the camera..

Getting a grip is a must, just be cautious of grey imports... Will Canon honour the guarantee if the copied grip knackered your camera???

Thanks for that m8. I'll wait 'til I see a proper Canon one. If any 1 sees one on their travels...let me know...

I've never seen any complaints about thrid party grips and I wouldn't have thought they'd be too many potential problems arising from a battery grip as they don't seem that complex, just power and a few button functions replicated. That's also a very good price as it comes with 2 batteries as well. I've got a couple of Hahnel batteries for mine and they're just as good as Canons but half the price.

Having said that though I'm slightly wary of imports, mainly because of any hassle there'd be sending it back if it arrived and there was a problem or it was damaged.

Just found this thread, where someone has actually bought that particular grip and they seem happy with it.

Top man. I've opted for the UK one from Walter's Video or whatever. Slightly more expnesive but better if I need to return it and it's a Canon model.

Well, that should be it for a while, the missus is gonna give me sh1t if I get anything else just yet... Although she has promised to buy me the Canon 70-200 mm F/4 L lens on my b'day. That's not 'til September...so she can start saving up...

    Thanks for your help fellas....
