Is it possible to get bad Torrents

Never used them before and downloaded a episode of prison break, it was shown as an avi, yet winamp / windows media player wont play it. I tried on my DivX player, and also a Xvid player with no luck.

Can anyone advise?

Thanks for that link, I got the program and put the *.avi download into it and this is what came back..

yeah looks pretty duff to me moose. as a last resort you could try one of the divxfix programs, will find em via google im sure.

after that download another copy!

Got another on the d/l from another torrent site. Should be donew in an hour or so.

It happens. In my PS2 download days I got many releases that (once unrared) comprised a whole 700mb of hex ff/00. Totally nuked.
