yeah.... passion.... desire.... leading from example at the front!

like keano or cantona! he only lowers himself when he's frustrated during a game! if he learns that not everybody is on his level then i think (even at his young age) he could lead by example! he's a better captain (even now) than beckham EVER could be!

Rooney is one of the worlds great players...! Being Capatain would only make him better!

Beckham is one of the best captains I think we have ever had for England, I have no doubt he can be as good at club level as captain too. Both on and off the pitch Beckham is a very clued up guy, despite popular belief.

You think? Becks is just a figurehead, and does very little to lead the team on the field.

I think David Beckham is and has been an amazing captian for England and i think Real Madrid would do well to give him the same mantle as since his arrival there he has been far and above thier outstanding player.

As for Rooney being the United Captain i think its a great idea.......... He is very passionate and leads by example, A much better choice than Gary Neville in my opinion

I think any decent side doesnt need to rely on the captain to be verbal on the pitch, im not saying that becks isnt verbal, because when needed, he is the first to rally around. In my estimations, England already has a side full of captains, Beckham has an aura surrounding him both on and off the pitch which I personally think makes people respect him. He is kind, compasionate, considerate, passionate and aggresive at the right times...all of which make him the perfect captains captain in my eyes....also good qualities to look for in a boyfriend come to think of it if i ever decide to bat for the other team.

Gary Neville - Utd Cap
John Terry - Cheslea Cap
Steven Gerrard - Liverpool Cap
Michael Owen - Vice Cap Eng
Lampard - vice Cap chel
Carragher - vice Cap Liverpool

all are real captains, not even mentioning the passion and motivation the Rio Ferdinand and Wayne Rooney bring to the side....

As I said, any "proper" side doesnt need just 1 captain, they need a captains captain...and there is noone better on and off the pitch then Beckham to do that.
