    Default Registered keeper

    Hi,

This might be a bit of a daft question, but is there any way to find out who a registered keeper of a car is? It is actually for my own car, but there have been a few little incidents which have put me in this situation...

The main problem is, since we moved after my brother died, we seem to have 'misplaced' a lot of important documents. I have a sneaking suspicion someone has got thier grubby mitts on them. One of these documents is the vehicle registration, however, the insurance documents which were in the same folder are still there.

To cut things short, is it possible to find out who the registered keeper of a vehicle is? I want to make sure everything is in order before I send out the lost registration form.

    Regards,
    Jojo

A few years ago some guy hit my car in a pub car park and drove off. For a small fee DVLA gave me his details thus enabling me to claim against him using my own unique insurance policy. His car ended up a lot worse than mine.lol

You could always get pulled over for speeding and see where the NIP turns up M8

There's a form from the post office (cant remember the name, but im sure if you ask the staff they'll let you know).

Anyway, fill it in with a cheque for £19, and (hopefully) within 28 days, voila, you get a logbook in your name delivered home.
