    Wanted Windows activation

A friend of mine has just installed windows xp pro and needs to activate it before his 30 days grace period are up.

However, due to his lack of a phoneline or internet access and also his severe phobia of pens, paper, envelopes, letter boxes and post offices he is unable to register it himself.

I seem to remember there being some software that could generate an activation code using the code from the telephone activation.

Could anyone suggest where I might obtain said software?

it's a standard option m8, I remember having to do this at work once. I can't reproduce the event at the moment, but it is there m8...

    this should help....
How do I activate my version of Windows XP?

Activation can be performed over the Internet or via telephone.

Click the Start button, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click Activate Windows.
Follow the activation instructions that appear on your screen.
    Telephone Activation

If you choose to activate Windows XP using the telephone, you will need to read the 44-digit Product ID to the support representative in the activation center. You will then be given a 42-digit Activation ID, which you have to enter in the activation wizard. The support representative will wait until you finish typing in the Activation ID to ensure that the activation is successful.

..that's maybe a little outdates as when I did it, it there was no operator, it was an automated system

I tried calling on his behalf and there must have been a fault somewhere because they seemed to think his key wasn't valid or something...

Thanks, not exactly what I was looking for though.

I believe there is software out there where you enter the telephone product activation code and it allows the PC to be activated without connection to the net.

I don't think such software exists anymore i.e one that works.

In the end I used some cracks that disabled the activation, but then guess what happened... 30 days later, it doesnt allow me to log in.

In the end I got another version of xp

isn't that what's meant to happen after the 30 days is up... sound to me like the messages may have stopped, but that's about it..
