The Outfit (PAL) (Xbox 360) DNL release??

Has anyone burnt the above game and got it working??

If so what method did you use? .bat (padding) or SS merger for just injecting the PAL SS file??

Hmmmm..... (Did you use ss Merger 1.5o ? & I take it you used the PAL SS from pspsaves site?)

So it seems that you can do both and it will still work?!?!?

So padding something which does not need padding using the .BAT method does not mean it will not work!!!

Can anyone else confirm the method they used to get this release working!!

The reason I ask is because when I loaded the ISO into ss merger it detected it as a 'Included in ISO (WxRipper Style)' yet when I just injected the SS the game iso was only 6.82Gb which is a fair bit smaller than the majourity of the games I have burnt for X360!!

I used ss merger v1.5o and used the file off ubbclass, it picked up the file and matched the md5's and wors fine

you can use either the .bat method or the program but make sure you use the dummy file method, i did try the other method and got a coaster

Ahhhh....

O.K, yeah I know you can use ss Merger to do the exact same thing as the .bat method provided you use the 'Pad with blank (Xtreme Style)' however 'B.I.G.'s reply made it sound like he just injected the SS using the 'Included in ISO (WxRipper Style)' which is what SS Merger detects it as?!?!?

So it's safe to say that you cannot trust the detection method in SS Merger.

Well I did the .BAT method and it says on the X360: 'To Play this disc put it in a Xbox 360 console' ??!?!?!?

Thought I was gonna have a problem with this one

Are you sure you used the .BAT (padding) method???

Because SS Merger reakons it don't need padding and this coaster agrees!!!

whats your file size of the game after dummy?

when i got it i also though the iso was a strange size beacuse ss merger reported exactly what you said, also i got the video on the first burn i did (without dummy)

im not sure if the file i now have on my hd is patched/dummied or not now but the filesize is 7,152,958kb

Well the .BAT (padded) ISO that I just burnt and did not work is:

7.06Gb (7,590,508,544 bytes)
(Obviously don't read 'Si'ze on disk' as this will differ depending on how people have formatted their Hd's)


The image file that has just had the SS injected via SS Merger is:

6.82GB (7,324,628,992 bytes)


For some stupid reason I must have deleted the original DNL NG rar's as I cannot find them anywhere :-(

Think I'll knock this one on the head and wait for another release as I'm not desperate to play it tbh.
I knew this fucker was gonna cause issues as people on Newzbin have posted that they are creating lots of coasters trying to get the fucker working

My advice to others is to steer clear of this release until someone can categorically announce exactly how they got this DNL release working and then to be backed up by someone else to say that the method does indeed work!!

P.S) When people post how they got a game working can they please be more precise with what they did! ie What SS file they used, what SS merger setting, .BAT method ... etc. Cheers :-)

and the filesize is 6.82GB (7,324,628,992 bytes)

i have just checked with a hex editor and the ss file is merged at the correct location which means the dummy file is not used

Right i used the dnl-tox3.iso with the ss file from hxxp://rapidshare.de/files/21384346/The_Outfit_PAL.bin.html
Ans i used ss merger 1.5o to merge it and it worked fine.
