Managed to save the battery & memory card.


Im no camera expert,just want something to do the job as good,or better than the last one did...Sony Cybershot DSC-F88.

Ive started searching and comparing....but my head hurts now.

I'll quite happily go with any recommendations up to about £300.

Maybe you should be looking for a huge camera if he wants to eat that one he will have to have a few sittings.

As for recomending a camera Im biased and like olympus the lenses seem really good ive had 3 and they have all been spot on.
What are you wanting to do? just point and shoot, more advanced funtions, huge zoom, huge prints?

I personally like Canon compacts as they are small and easy to handle and usually pumped full of features. My mate was looking at the Ixus 750 the other day and they fall in at just over 200. With the change you could buy a decent case, spare battery and a reasonable sized memory card for it.

just got a canon a620 and think its pretty good, lots of features on it and at £180 i thought it was a good buy for a 7 mp camera, it has good reveiws aswell, but im new to this camera thing so i can only say what i know which aint a lot

Went for the Canon Ixus 750,as recommended by Bert,and am well chuffed with it.
The ease of use,size and quality of photos is excellent.Much better than the Sony.

Got it for under £180 new from flea-bay.

Im keeping it somewhere Bruno cant reach.......the loft !!
