hdmi 1.3 on PS3 ???

it seems sony will set the HDMI output in 1.3 mode ,it means we wont see anything on HD screens ,as it is only 1.1 (at least for France).

in the link theyre claiming its a good thing, so im assuming that hdmi 1.3 is compatable with 1.1/1.2. whatever that all means i have no idea but it just sounds like this thread is yet another weak attempt at sony bashing.

Course its a good thing and of course its compatible with lower spec devises

~If you read up on the differences its a REALLY good thing.

Under the new HDMI 1.3 specification, the clock speed will be increased from 165 MHz to over 225 MHz.

The increased bandwidth will allow support for 1080 x 60 Hz displays with 36-bit RGB color, or a 1080p display with a 90 Hz refresh rate.

Technically, the specification leaves room for clock rates of up to 450 MHz.
