I half understand your point Deadly - but it's the manager, who, to a certain extent installs belief, passion, encourage and motivation in a team.

He sets the stall out and makes sure his instructions are followed - if it weren't for the manager you'd have 11 individualists pissing about

I don't think in retrospect, Sven will be remembered as a great manager.. his plans were pivotal around Rooney, and when he went off, the team played a better game.

why is it whenever england gets into a tournament, that no one from the other british countries do?? the rest of britain takes the side of the other teams. I know that i would support the rest of britain if they got into a competition that england didnt, and im sure the rest of england would too. Ok you have bad blood against england but wtf! we are not just representing england, but the whole of britain. Why would you take pride in supporting every team we play against over one of your own! Its not like you need a passport to cross the border like in europe, we are the same island in the end.

Its very lame if you ask me. If Colin Jackson won gold for 100m hurdles at the olympics it would be a GB gold, and nobody would give a shit that he is welsh, he is british, just like the England team at football, every player is british at the end of it all.

3 cups 3 1/4 finals only lost 5/6 proper games when was the last england manager to have a record like that he made mistakes but no worst then the others before him lets look forward
