Thought id post a couple of pics I just took. This is in daylight..i just closed the curtains, projected onto a white wall. Havent made any ajustments yet..so its not really in proper focus or tombstoned properly. Ill be making a screen at the weekend and should have some nice outside night shots projected onto a blackout cloth screen

that's top notch Pyro, good work. How much does a project like this typically cost to build? You planning on selling the blueprints? I'm seriously tempted after giving up the ghost on the "building a mame cab" idea.

Looks great Pyro, I love the kitchen cupboard handles.

I'd be interested in how you make the screen and out of what.

BFG: I dont really have any plans for mine but the whole idea/theory comes from here: http://lumenlab.com/ <-- if you check out their forums there is a whole host of info about building these. They all sell the "special" lens's you need in order to build one As for cost it really depends if your starting from scratch or have some kit and tools already..mine cost about £175...£100 for the lcd..£50 for the lens's and light setup (this was cheap second hand from shangurla tho) and £25 for the wood and a few fittings. I already had the correct tools and alot of the parts which made it cheaper

Headsortails: It needed some handles lol this is a heavy beast to move around. The screen will be a wooden frame with either a fabric called "blackout cloth" (used on the back of curtains to keep light out)over it, like an artists canvas or im thinking maybe using the reverse side of some "lino" flooring..as its whitey grey, matt and stiff..so easy to cut and mount.

You will have to play some pc game on it whilst using someones house as a screen...When I 1st got mine a few years ago, I had it on the house across the road from me shining on the side playing super-bomberman with my house-mates, the screen must have been over 25 foot wide
Looking a good setup there though, you can never beat 6ft porn!
