    Help Accidental damge advice

I am livid....The youngest of my kids has just pulled my 26" lcd over and completely wrote it off.

I'm covered with insurance for accidental damage but never used it and was wondering what would be the best thing to tell the insurance to make it go through as smoothly as possible.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

    Try telling them the truth
Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car
Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the back of your car
Horsepower is how fast your car hits the wall
Torque is how far your car sends the wall across the field once you've hit it

Tell the truth mate, no 2 ways about it.

You will be covered if you say it got pulled over my your kid. Ive dealt with things like that at my work before.

They will also propbably want to keep the LCD or see the item.

Tell them the truth and you'll be fine

I did this with my kenwood seperates a few years ago m8, the nephew pulled them over and i shat meself.

Told the insurance company that i knocked it off whilst decorating (thought the real reason was a bit lame), in hindsight i should have just told them what really happened.

As others have said , just tell them the truth. I have claimed for various items over the years and depending on who you have your insurance with they may just need the serial number off the back of the screen to get a replacement , or they may send a loss adjuster out (?) to asses the claim.Either way dont frett.

I claimed for a vcr about 8 years or so ago and I had to take it to a repair shop to get a quote for to get it fixed, if the cost was too high (which it was) they then replaced it with a new vcr. I was gutted though cos it was a JVC edit deck that cost me £539 in 1992, was a lovely machine but I got a standard thing as the replacement, they said it was the 'equivalent model', htf is that an equivalent when it just standard!

Only other thing I have claimed for is a new bath cos my foot went through it while having a shower, fucking shit myself Got it replaced in about 2 days, fuckers broke a tile putting it in though.

It was a whole tile yes lol, thing is they were about 15 years old and couldn't get a match to replace it so had to retile the whole bathroom, so yes I was gutted, and yes they covered the cost of it all.

It was the original bath, a cheap plastic thing, it was about 20 years old at the time. I stepped back a bit and wallop, my foot was on the floor under the bath
