There's unfortunately a few more mistakes in the reply... But I'm sure they'll get the "I'm more than pissed off about your letter you sent me", reply. So kinda thinking, they wont matter.

The problem with a lot of ISP's are they are limited to bandwidth they can supply, because they are all paying BT for the lines! The UK market is getting slowly better by the year (whereas Japan by the month!).

I remember reading recently about Japan and China's fastest broadband connection was somewhere in the region of 1Gbps (Tokyo YahooBB) compared to our current 24Mbps (https://www.bethere.co.uk) for around the same price (Obviously Yen converted to Sterling).

Hard to believe how far behind this civilised country really is... We just like to sit on our hands, or so it feels! The technology is there to use FFS! Use it!

    Now tell F2S (Freedom2Surf LOL!)

I've never heard of freeola, their 2mb "unlimited" package looks ok, I'm not too bothered about max as my line can only get 3.5mbs anyway.

Anyone else going or currently with them?

Thats what my line stats are too but my average DL speeds are 450 to 480.

well the bt checker says my line will take 1mb standard adsl or upto 3.5mb adsl max.

I really wanted to sign up for the 2mb (uncapped) package, but might have to go back to 1mb as this max is playing havoc with my connection.

I was going to go back to pipex, but I don't really want another 12 month rope round my neck.

plus pipex are only pushing out the max broadband now

The UK ADSL market is bolloxed 100% and I blame the money grabbing bastards from BT myself and the independent LLU suppliers.

Shame they dont put their money in the very systems and start doing some real upgrades and not put money in the pockets of their share holders and fat cat directors.

This is the way it is, but I don't think the likes of BT or other LLU suppliers will do any thing like investing in new Fibre or ADSL kit. If they did that they would not be able to pay themselves so well

I got a mate with 8Mb Bulldog, but I see similar speeds with 1Mb BT, these quoted speeds are all a load of bollox anyway.

tbh if the next isp i goto is shite, then i'm ceasing the adsl line completely and going back to dial up because theres no point in having broadband if isp's are imposing stupid caps on them.

It's laughable really, some isp even have 2gb caps, wtf can you do with that!
