    Info Giving stuff for free

how about a give stuff away section that does not require a mod to approve? It seems that anytime a person offers something for free a mod gets it. I know today Malty said (and rightly) that he approved a post but didn't take the offered item (it was taken by another mod) but he said 'it's a perk'. It just seems that if anyone offers a legit freebie it is always claimed by mods, seems a little unfair to everyone else on the board. I'm not knocking anyone but I think it's onesided as it is.
    Thanks for reading.
(ps I'm sure that there are things offered that have not been modded but I'd say it was a minority so please don't post me links, this is the section for suggestions)

It`s a thought but maybe it`s coincidence m8,everyone likes a freebie cant see a mod abusing his position.

The easiest way to do it would be that if anyone is going to give things away for free to do it in the D&D.

I gave away a free Bluetooth kit that I didn't want but I did it in P&T as I don't think it was right to give it to a none paying member.

Incidentally it wasn't a mod who had it.

i dont think any mod or the admin would object to freebies being posted in the p and t

I do think as staff tho its an earned and deserved perk when we get on sales or freebies first. NONE of us are paid at all and we give up time (some more than others) to help the board run better for everyone.

I dont think anyone should begrudge us first dibs really.

It doesnt happen all the time and the poster doesnt have to sell/give to the mod after all

Yes I agree with you there, Malty.

I know that Mods and Admins do it for the love of helping people, and the warm feeling of satisfaction when you help someone.

But I do feel that voluntary work should have it's perks.
What if the Hokey Cokey "IS" what it's all about?
