Feedback and free music from my first site

Hi every one. the site below is my first ever site ive made. i made it for my mates band. i used macromedia 8 to do it. 5 weeks ago i did not know any thing about web designing. i thought id done well but any feedback is well taken and appreciated. the music on the site is free to use. just right click n download. thanks.

thats pretty hideous...

you could have done something much nicer than that with that nice background image.

instead you seem to have just plastered some tacky buttons, imges and text on a background..

oh, and i still dont know the name of the band despite looking at the site. i presume its redstar .. but im guessing.. or is it redstar rock, or redstar revolution?

You may already have, but if I were you I would get on MySpace. If your a band its far better for getting your name about.

You can send out gig dates, pictures, upload songs and all the lovely other band type stuff

"WE ONLY SING OUR OWN SONGS"

WTF?

Also, maybe title the page (if you keep it) "Untitled Document" anit to flash now is it!

Thanks for the feedback. i thought i was shit at it. but hey ill practice some more. does anyone know any sites for good graphics etc to over lay the crap? the group is called RED STAR. i know ive made it quite confusing. thanks.

you dont wanna be laying more graphics over the top of it :O

just because you have learnt some code doestn make you a designer. unfortuately you can either design a website or you cant. and you cant
