    Rant onestopphoneshop cash back

I think I've been stung by these cow boys! I ordered 2 phones 4 months ago and now its time to send my cashback vouchers back to them but when I first ordered the phones from them they sent them out minus the cash back forms and I did contact them within the 14 days they ask you to and order new cashback vouchers as my claims would be void if I didn't.

So I ordered them and the next thing I forget about them until today and I know they haven't arrived. Does anyone have a copy of these vouchers or know of anyway I can get a hold of them either via OSPS or any other means as this is in no way my fault.

I hate these cow boys when they play games like this. They probably meant to not put in the vouchers hoping people don't read the T&C's and then when they send their claim in they void it and the customer can't do nowt about it.

So any help / suggestions would be great lads.

You're in luck son. I had exactly the same situation, got the full pack and no f**king forms. Rang up, had a go, and got some new ones sent out. Then when I went to send the forms last month I found they had given me them, lol! Anyways I should still have those spares, if they're here in Nottingham (as opposed to Leeds where I won't be for a while) I'll let you know by tomorrow and post them to you.

Yea they're wankers, they shouldn't be allowed get away with that. I mean there is nothing about the form that makes it unique or a necessary part of the refund system. OFT should have a word or something. I know it's probably all technically legal, but it's outrageous trickery and not something we would agree to

    a) if we knew
    b) if we had a fucking choice, we're just the little end consumer against the big company

Porthos if you don't manage to find the vouchers or they are in Leeds I am sending the e-mail at the bottom to them.

Yeah, well their sister company e2save doesn't need you to actually send in the voucher, they just require the bill, so it isn't anything significant about the voucher apart from them screwing you over. But as you says I may aswell email a few consumer rights places and ask for advice as its not on.

And another thing, I know my grammar ain't the best so if someone notices anything that looks dodgey feel free to change or improve and I will use that.

    Cheers again

    Dear Sir/Madam,

This is a complaint that I am following up from a phone call I had from
Simon (from OSPS) on extension 4637. The time of the call started at
approximately 1705 and ended roughly at 1718 on August 2nd 2006.

Now to the actual events of the buildup. I ordered 2 Nokia 6111 from OSPS on
15th April 2006 and I received my phones shortly afterwards (thanks for the
fast delivery) and I noticed I didn't have my cashback redemption vouchers
within the pack so I called up within 3 days of purchase to request these
vouchers and I was told that I would receive these vouchers through the post
    shortly.

Anyway, the next thing I know is that I'm holding my 2 o2 airtime bills with
invoice no. 4 on them and that means cashback time (woohoo) or so I thought
until I realised that you guys didn't actually resend the vouchers. So I
called to ask why I hadn't receive the vouchers and Simon who was at first
seemed a very good person to speak to changed when he started to call me a
liar and say I didn't call up and request my redemption vouchers and then he
questioned my integrity by asking exactly what the customer services advisor
would have asked and I did explain that I couldn't remember but can remember
that I was told I would receive my vouchers shortly as that is what I was
most interested in. So after taking enough of Simon's presumptions of him
calling me a liar I asked to speak to someone with more authority, but Simon
refused to pass me to someone else who could deal with my situation more. So
I decided not to speak to Simon anymore as it was quite clear to me he
wasn't interested in anything I was saying and just repeating himself as if
I would just give up and go away (which I eventually did).

So heres the things that I would like answered:

    1) When will I be getting my cashback redemption vouchers or will I special
note be put on my case and I will just send my correct Airtime Bills in?
    2) Why was the Customer Service I received on the phone not to the usual
Carphone Wharhouse group standards? I feel let down as I have been a
customer for a very long time and dealt with CPW, e2save and OSPS on many of
occassion and referred a lot of people (check back on my referral scheme).

I would like a quick resolve in this matter as I feel I have been conned
from the start and been called a liar when I ask for something that is
    rightfully mine.

I hope to hear from you soon.

    Best Regards,

Tell me about it. I've never had any problems with their sister company e2save. Actually, I'd go as far to say they are amazing.

Porthos: Any luck with finding the voucher mate? If not that is fine and I'll fire my email over (if anyone has any small changes to make let me know pls as I don't want to come across thick).

    Cheers for the info guys!

I haven't found it mate, but they are in a folder with MY vouchers that I bloody need lol. Hence I think (hope) they will turn up in the next week, I'll check the several houses I frequent lol. They've got your name on them when I find them which I hope I do.

Without sounding arsey, you might want to ask what it is about the vouchers that makes them a necessary part of the process, e2save did it without so why can't they. They obviously do it so people f**k up and they make money but they can't say that so maybe ask why they have a limit on having them sent out. Since no customer can benefit more times than they are entitled to (if you are entitled to 3 claims, 20 vouchers won't give you any more claims) ask what the logic is for

    a) requiring the vouchers and
    b) putting a time limit on them

If you're emailing them perhaps CC it to paul@citizensadvicebureau.co.uk . Paul isn't a real person, nor is the email address, however I've found that when I've CC'd to 'Paul' in the past, companies often become a lot more responsive, thinking they are being watched. Good luck and I am still hopeful I'll find the vouchers (for myself primarily, and then for you ).

The spare set is with my bloody set mate!! I'm as worried as you are now. They're in a folder with some important documents which I had left in, er, a 'safe place'. Checked all my standard 'safe places' and can't find em, worried my cleaner's thrown 'em out.

When they sent me the spare set they had 'copy' hand written several times in blue highlighter on them but I rang them and they said that was fine, they just needed to mark it as that before they sent it out (don't really know why, it doesn't have any serial number on it or anything). As I recall, the T&C's say that they don't take photocopies or anything so you'd probably need to do a perfect copy of it (although the joker at the other end might not be gettin paid enough to care). Anyways, that's beside the point for you and me, like I say, cuz my forms are with the spares. What time is your deadline for for this one and for the next one? I'll let you know if/when I find them.

Well, I fought them with some help from the man Leagle Eagle...that guy is a star. He gave me the help I needed and they caved. Today I just received the cashback vouchers via email...no markings at all to disprove which customer is using them. So I'm going to put them on the t'internet and make them available to any poor sod that this ever happens to.

So I'm glad that I won't be losing my 480 quid after all. Just a bit of tact in the end made it all good.

    Cheers
