Tomtom Go 300, 500, 700, One & Rider software Update - V6.150

Yes - just over one week since the upgrade to v6.14 was released another upgrade has been released for all Tomtom Go 300, 500, 700, Rider & One units.

To upgrade you first need to install Tomtom Home, which is free in the Tomtom PLUS Services section.

We recommend that you update the application on your TomTom to TomTom application version 6 if you have a TomTom GO, TomTom GO 300/500/700, TomTom ONE or TomTom RIDER.

To update the application on your device, do the following:

1. Install TomTom HOME on your computer, if it isn't already installed. You can download the latest version of TomTom HOME here:

2. Connect your device to your computer and switch it on.

3. TomTom HOME will automatically open and check for updates. If it does not automatically check, click Check for content updates

4. Make sure that you select to download the TomTom application.

The latest version of the TomTom application is full of new features and improvements

Hi Guys definitely not the brightest pin in the pack when it comes to GPS so could do with a bit of advise please.
I have just bought a factory refurbished TomTom Go700, the version is when I go to 'The Version' in preferences is as follows:
device ak8sq djcu2
app 5.410 (5628/050919) os:1006
61 mb ram (free: 9.6 mb)
gps v1.21, boot 4.86
map: 'western_europe-map' v606
language: english uk

A few questions please,
will there be any benefits in me updating anything from the TomTom site?
I have some USA maps on my PDA which has TomTom it. Will do any damage to the unit if I copy and paste these from the SD card which they are on and paste them onto my Go700?

Can you only do this with the cable and TT Home, as I don't have a cable, always done my updating via SD card and reader.

Latest software version now 6.5**, and you can get this from Tomtom using the instructions in my first post. With v6 software you can use the latest v675.**** maps. If you use any new maps (& yes you can use the maps on your PDA) you will need to use the keygen for an activation code.

You can use Tomtom Home and connect to your SD card in a card reader.
