Broken DS :(

Hi guys,

Looking for some assistance. My GF (well, her sister) accidentally spilt some water on the DS while still in the case, so it was submerged in a very shallow amount of water. DS was left to dry out before being switched on, but now all that happens is when it is switched on, the lower screen flashes white once and then console switches off.

The battery was swapped out as some people suggested that the battery can die, but this had no effect. Any ideas?

I've read some other people have had problems with broken DS consoles (not damaged by water) with the same sympton. Could it be as easy as a fuse has blown?

take out the battery asap!

just like mobile phones, you can dunk it in water and it will be fine, its the batteries current that wrecks the device, make sure its 100% dry, keep it in the airing cupboard for a few days and then some
