ive got my home made doofer, but a metal one would be more rigid as my plastic teeth are weakening and will probably fail soon due to over-use

not yet, but who knows. I personally hope there never is because people would choose that over a proper mod, should one ever arrive. single layer backups and homebrew would make the scene alot more interesting

The much anticipated X360 USB is now ready for release. This really is the most advanced modding product to be released to date and will benefit many thousands of users. We have spent a great deal of time perfecting this product and our beta testers have been using it now for a couple of weeks - having flashed every single model of Hitachi drive many many many times thru USB using all the current released software (GaryOPA, Birdy etc), and connecting various SATA Hard drives (both 360 and stock) while performaing countless data transfer tests with 100% success we feel this product is rock solid. Samples will be shipped to Xbox-Scene and others in the next week.

We are also pleased to reveal the official logo and branding for the X360 USB along with a picture to give you an idea of its scale as some thought it was huge judging from our original pictures. We will also announce its own dedicated website address shortly, giving complete details for the end user and marketing materials for retail stores.

that doesnt let you flash the dvd drive through the 360s usb port tho does it? i thought it was a way to do it if your pc doesnt have sata.

i dont really see it being possible to access and flash the 360's dvd drive through the 360's usb. it would be nice to some people, but as i said it would slow down the development of a real hack.

The Xecuter device to me just seems like a USB 2 SATA device with the SATA HDD reading ability that the datel device introduced a while ago built in, im not exactly wetting the bed with anticipation here. Not compat witht he samsung drives either?

Yeah, I noticed they didn't mention the samsung drive...

The USB device is just a sata to usb adapter to let people with laptops and problematic sata adapters to flash their drives, you still have to disconnect the drive from the 360 and plug it into this. (as far as I can tell).

It doesn't mention samsung drives because it's usb and the drivers for it are in windows so it wouldn't be visible to a DOS system.

FYI - the metal unlocking tool comes with the Black Knight case mod, as sold on www.cheapmod.com

The item isn't on the site yet, I think Glen's been rather busy.

Pics and review to follow, pending approval from the guy himself. Pizzaman and I are both in posession of these new cases, I've yet to fit mine but Pizza's is done.



Looks quite smart (even better in a darkened room) but I think I'll be leaving my silver tray bezel and eject button on to match the HDD.
