Does anyone know if there is a way to export the mail account settings from outlook 2003? It can be done in outlook express but not outlook. Seems a glaring omission to me. Perhaps I am being thick.
Anyone care to offer some help.
thanks

What would you be exporting them to?
I use Genie Outlook backup when wiping my pc but it creates a file that I re-import into Outlook again. Would you be after using a different program altogether?
Me and my fella spit our dummies out so we won't be coming back. ever. boo hoo.
This is a techy / hackers forum not a fu**ing mothers meeting so - peace out.
depending on what u are doing and how u wont to do it.
Outlook can do it just like express, if u want hus the file to buck up on xp it is in the document and settings your user name local settings microsoft outlook a file called outlook.pst back it up thats all youre mail
You have to export the keys from the registry, you'll loose the passwords but all other settings for the mail accounts will be retained.
Just open up regedit and navigate to this key
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows Messaging Subsystem\Profiles\Outlook]
Then just export it and i'll save everything under that tree for you to a .reg file
import anywhere you want and voila
