Latitude format part2

I got my cable today but will not find h/d i think its ok cos in lappy it starts to load windows then goes blank ive tried it on both cable slots with no joy any ideas please?????????

have you tried to detect it in the bios first m8

if ya cant get it going m8 ya can send it to me and ill sort it for ya all ya have to pay for is the postage or even come round to mine if ur near essex

Fookin cable was wrong way round have now formated it but when i put it back in lappy it said windows had shut down restart or run chkdsk/f i must be gettin close now
