Is the is DG834T ADSL2+ compatible?

Done some searches and getting mixed responses! Also checked out reviews on Ebuyer and Amazon (Customer reviews), seems it's rubbish if you are retarded but excellent if you stick to the 54mbps wireless mode which to be honest is what I will be using. The 360 and DS don't need 56mb connections!

Apparently the mac codes from your current isp should be easily gotten over the phone. I rang up my company and they said to email them with mac request in the title. They asked me why i was moving and who i was moving to, i replied then the next day received my mac code. They said it normally takes 72 hours. However Sky told me that they should just be able to give you it over the phone!

With regards to the router...they said you don't have to use theirs but they'd prefer it and recommend it coz it allows them to run better diagnostics etc if you ring up with a problem!

got my mac code at last... but now my code to join sky has expired

as for the router... you cant use your own... the password and username is hidden on the Sky router... the only way to get it is to flash back to original firmware and save the settings and strip it from that

the sky customer support are useless and know keep telling people different things... its agains their T&C's to use any other router

I've looked into the router they give you and it seems OK, very similar to my Ozenda one I have at the moment.

27th Sep is my transfer date, fingers crossed it all goes according to plan!

Lemaru, when did you get your code? I only got mine Monday from Sky. Just call them and explain i'm sure they'll sort you out

been trying to get it- after sky sent me an email to say I could.

Turns out my exchange isn't easynet LLU'd yet. That plus the length of my phone line (around 6-7km, can only get 512k adsl ) means that i'm not entirely sure whether to leave pipex or not. Yeah, it might be cheaper at £10/month instead of £20 (special package with pipex as I can't get 1mbit) but i'm not entirely sure whether its worth changing...

got it on the 17th August... and it was valid for 3 weeks, so 21 days from then i make the 7th September it expired....

took me since then till yesterday to get my MAC code out of F2S tho

Might have to give them a ring....

Not sure on the router still tho... i had a Netgear DG843 (non T version) and the wireless was flakey to say the least in my house....

does save 14quid a month tho
