Downloaded some wmv files with DRM - that won't play - doesn't look like it can be removed - anyone know if possible.

As far as i know, the current Microsoft DRM (Janus IIRC) is pretty much water light, at least last time I checked. I believe any solutions for "stripping" the DRM involve taking a decoded stream, effectively screen caputring it and re-compressing it/putting back in an avi/mpeg container

Yeah I have looked into this alot mate and I didnt find a solution, the old DRM which is released for media player 9 has been hacked so that tool you found would probably be for that. I havent looked into it for a couple of months tho but am sure it still water tight. DRM is boarderline illegal as is restrictive of something you have bought (not my words just other peeps) so many think that DRM hacking is not against the law and therefore are activly seeking a crack for this.

Just found this. I haven't tried it as I don't have any DRM files. Thought it might be of some use.
