Just to clear something up, I'd sell me granny to see The Prodigy live, i have a live cd of theirs and its awesome. Not a fan of the dirtchamber sessions stuff though, and I do like faithless and RHCP. I just don't like enough of the tunes to see them in concert.
WalterPill, I did expect a reaction, it was quite tame really. I've always liked george michael, the blokes voice hasnt changed, his talent is still there, he's just a bit confused! I reckon it will be class.
PS The missus dragged me to Daniel Bedingfield the first time, but he was very good so i went of my own free will the 2nd time!
They played that in their set at Glastonbury a couple of years ago, I'd never seen them live before, but that was a definate highlight. Still makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up when I hear it now.
Some more I remember seeing from reading the posts. Cant believe I forgot some of these:
Coldplay - 1st time they were ace, 2nd time i seen them i thought they were shit...possible cos id had too many smarties watching Oasis the previous night in Manchester.
Beautiful South - amazing live
Arctic Monkeys - Great live, place went mad all the way through the set
The La's - Seen them last yr when they reformed, good apart from 2/3 songs
Paul Weller - always good live
Others: Gomez, U2, Moby, Stereophonics, Groove Armada, Massive Attack.
I think thats about it
Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in.
In no order:-
The Who - at T in the park, best performance ever
The Zutons
The Strokes
The Editors
RHCP

Muse Manchester academy a small venue and they really can play live
Greenday Manchester Apollo they were absolutely awesome the sound was just bang on and they smashed the drums up at the end
Went to see Starsailor this year at Manchester Apollo they were ok but there was a support act called David ford just blew me away still listening to his album now after months and still not bored of it
NON ILLIGITAMUS CARBORUNDUM

I'd have to say Failthless at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange for me. Just awsome.
Oasis were also great when i saw them there as well, i think they are much better in smaller venues than when they are doing the stadium/rock gods thing.

2-Run dmc-Birmingam
3 De La soul
4 Public enemy
Into hip hop which is generally shit live hence cameo come top realised live concerts werent my cup of tea just feel there wank, but heythats just my preference.

Muse - absolution tour (Osaka) Pretty small venue, best gig of my life, lucky I got to see them then, as Matt decided to smack himself in the face with his guitar on their following show.
You lucky lucky bastard! Was that their recent appearence on Radio 1 where Dave Grohl was in all day? The Radio set was awesome, he was extremely entertaining all the time I heard him on live.
He is one of my heroes, so talented from his Nirvana days right through to Foos and everything in between.
Have to say i'm warming to the foo fighters, took me ages to shake the feeling that it was just Nirvana's drummer.
I have prob seen 500 bands through the years been to like Reading/Leeds/V/T in the park/Phoenix/ prob 8 times and my fave few off the top of my head are.
I have a few faves actually
1. Insane clown Posse
at the Academy Manchester a couple of years ago words cannot describe how cool it was.
1.5 No doubt/Prodigy
Gwen was so fit I was so tripping
2. Asian Dub Foundation
Leeds Festival a few years back (wandered into a muddy tent to get out of the rain and there they were! Booyakasha!)
3. Kosheen
V festival headliners in the dance tent
4. Linkin Park
Brixton Academy rocktastic!
5. Oasis
Palm beach arena in Florida Brits galore great feel good factor
Ok I was at The Raconteur gig last night at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange as part of T on The Fringe.......Fuckin' SUBLIME ! best gig I've been to for a long, long time they were as tight as a gnat's chuff to the point of putting the album versions of the tracks in the cooler. If you like bawz out rock'n'roll then you have to go see these guys. They played pretty much all the album tracks plus....but get this covers of The Undertones - Teengage Kicks an old track by Lee Hazelwood - Bang Bang, My Baby Shot Me Down and Ziggy Stardust (Bowie) - It Aint' Easy. If you like Led Zeppelin and 70s rock and elecrtic blues this has to be the gig of the year for you. 10/10 from me!
" The Funk Keeps You Strong - The Jazz Makes You Wise "
Nice ot hear they were good, love it when bands not only do their stuff but somecovers too! I heard a couple of exclusives from Editors that they record this week at V.
As a note, I go the Hard-Fi live album the other day and it sounds, to me, shite! On some of their best tracks they have mashed them up so much they don't even have the chorus properly so peeps can rave! e.g. Livin' for the weekend! Anyway just in case this album puts peeps off then trust me, live they are the tits. Their cover of White Stripes Seven Nation Army was unexpected and I was lovin' it!
Faithless by a mile (seen a few times)
Kasabian
Blur
Oasis
Bjork (never a massive fan but live was excellent, really clear voice)
Had tickets for the last ever Nirvana concert which I never got to see cos of obvious reasons. Would of been a good one that aswell =(
orbital - had what can only be described as a spiritual experience (chemically enhanced) - tribal gathering around 2001ish
queensryche operation mindcrime tour 1992, newport- whole album story told and played perfectly
motorhead 2001 Los Angeles - most violent gig i have ever been to... fantastic
thousands of others. Pop thrash indie etc. seen everyone.
