    Info Smoothie Recipes

    A perfect breakfast smoothie

3/4 a pint of soya milk
3/4 a pint of fruit juice (experiment with different types)
    100g uncooked porridge oats
    2 bananas
    Strawberries (8-10)
    Blueberries (handful)

Put all in the blender and away you go. It's good for breakfast as it contains quick burn carbs(the fruit and soya) and slow burn carbs (the porridge). This means you wil get an energy boost immediatley and stay full until you eat again (ideally 3 hours later).

Tip: Put the porridge in last as it can get dry if at the bottom, causing the blades of the blender to not turn effectively.

You can change the quantities slightly, especially if you find 1.5 pints too much but don't drop the porridge quantity too much as you will get hungry sooner!

    I tried this today;

    2 bananas
    milk (whole )
    blackberry yogart
    wheat biscuits (same thing)

looked a bit rank, and to be honest, it tasted 'ok' but I wouldn't have it again.

    Banana
Small scoop of icecream (not req. but nice)
    Natural Yogart
    5 ice cubes
    Honey

    Whizz it and enjoy, lush!

    Punnet of strawberries
    Punnet of blueberries or raspberries
    Ice cubes

Godo stuff, a bit thick but well tasty
    I'm new to this

Here's my breakfast of champions and I have one every morning.......

1 heaped teaspoon of the following:

Greens RX (Green super food concentrate blend)
    Hawaiian Spirulina Powder
    Wheat Grass Powder
    Chlorella Powder

then add 400ml of mineral water

Whizz for a few seconds. Then add:

1 scoop (6g) of pure Collagen (with added vit C)
1 tablespoon of fresh Bee Pollen granules
1 tablespoon of whole Flax Seeds (linseeds)

Blitz for a few more seconds to break up the Flax Seeds, then add:

1 tablespoon of Lepicol (whole psyllium husks and pre/probiotic blend)

Then blitz for a few more seconds for a final mix. It's not to everyones taste but it sets you up for the day and provides a whole raft of immune system boosting nutrients, valuable vegetable protein and essential fats.

Surprisingly, the collagen lends a creamyness to the whole affair and the Bee Pollen adds a little sweetness too. I like it, but I've been reliably informed it looks and tastes like pond scum.

You could add fruit juice but this is usually loaded with sugar. For fat fuckers like you it might be better to add 1lb of lard and a couple of pints of ice cream.

First time I've seen this topic and I was wondering (might sound daft) can you make these in bulk and store them in the fridge? Ideally I could make maybe 3 of these at a time or more if poss and store and eat in the morning or whenever I get up.

    Cheers

Can fresh strawberries/raspberries/blueberries and ice cubes be substituted for frozen summer fruits? I really enjoy smoothies with the fresh ingredients but it is costing me a pretty penny. I'm sure I have seen frozen summer fruits cheap in the freezers at LIDL.

    Thanks in advance

    I tried

1 banana sliced in sections and a handful of blueberry's in a bowl
Take 5-6 tablespoons of greek yoghurt and mix with a few teaspoons of natural honey to give it a sweet flavour.

Pour the yoghurt over the fruit and munch away.

I had it as a snack, but you can easily put the same combo over a crunchy cereal such as Crunchy Nut Clusters.
