Lisinopril makes me burp like hell

I've been put on Lisinopril (ACE Inhibitor) for life. One 2.5mg tab per day, to treat my Blood Pressure.

In the last 10 months that I've been on them I've had tablets by various manufacturers but the latest batch, made by "Arrow Generics Ltd", make me burp like someone with a burp problem.

Anyone else taking this medication made by this company? Does it have the same effect on you?

i take Ramipril and Atenolol mate no side effects for me maybe its clashing with some
other med your on BURP oops sorry

Shambles: I can't answer your question directly, but contrary to popular belief Doctors can still prescribe named and branded products in specific cases. They do not have to prescribe generic versions although the NHS encourages them to do so because of the cost.

An excellent source of information about medicines is the British National Formulary, known as the BNF, which is published every March and September - you will have seen your doctor, consultant, hospital and/or pharmacist use it - it is their independent drugs Bible produced by the BMA and others and it is more comprehensive than the perhaps better known and commercial publication known as MIMS.

You can register free to use the on-line version too at http://www.bnf.org - well worth doing.

As you know, I have ongoing and complex family medical problems and I find that both the hardcopy version (which I buy every 12 months for around £20) and the on-line version for updates are essential so that I can monitor and understand, in my layman's way, just what is going on.
