My pc is water damaged

Do you think it will be able to be repaired or will the insurance wirte it off and say get another one.

If you were to get a quote from a friendly local PC shop stating that it was "beyond economical repair due to fluid ingress" I'm sure they would cough up the cash - how much you get depends on your policy etc..., but worth a try.

there taking away tomorrow to see if it can be repaired the company is called powerplay direct just hope they write it off

usually if you stick things in the airing cupboard for a few days they work fine.

black sheep is right. as long as no power hit the board when wet then drying it is fine. as for your claim? you should have ran some power through the pc and blown it. then you'd get a new one. please disreguard everything i just said. bye.

is powerplay direct working for your house insurance? I had a lappy and the screen went it was old and crappy p4 1.4 so I battered it about abit aswell and they replaced it with p4 3.2 19" widescreen :-) :-)

My friend was having issues with her pc so told her and she asked me to break her pc so took processor out broke some pins off and put it back in she got a new pc aswell (hers was a p2 600 i think and they gave her a celeron 2.4). Also she was with different insurance company but still went to a pc expert company like yours to confirm fault.
