You need to try these fuckers. I get people round my house taxing them within ten minutes of them setting.
8 oz digestives
5 oz raisins
4 oz butter
1 oz brown sugar
3 tablespoons of cocoa
4 tablespoons of golden syrup
8 oz Bournville
Crush the biscuits. I do this in a big bowl with the end of a rolling pin. Add the raisins to the biscuit. They need to be properly mullered. Melt the butter, sugar, cocoa powder and syrup over a low heat.
When it is mint and smooth pour it over the biscuit mix. Squish it out into a flat oiled 8"x8" tray or use a bigger one and just don't fill it to the edges.
Melt the chocolate in a jug in a pan full of boiling water until it is a smooth chocolatey mess. Keep your fingers out or you will get burned. Spread this over the cooled stuff in the tray and let it set for a while. When it is cool bang it in the fridge for as long as you can leave it.
Cut into as big a bits as you want and chuff it rapid. Be warned it is tres rich and I would advise on small bits.
You can add cherries if you like as well but reduce the raisins accordingly.
