    Default Cold Sores

I'm sure there are quite a few sufferers of coldsores on here, have any of you heard of the tablet you take regularly in the hope of stopping any occurences? I saw it advertised on the 'net a while back but heard nothing else since.

Also do you have any cures, healing aids etc?

Some good natural choices for dealing with cold sores are:

Bee Propolis - this is the stuff bees use to make sure their hives do not become infected and it has strong anti-bacterial and anti-viral co-factors. Bee Propolis tincture can be applied topically to the affected area.

Colloidal Silver - This is another natural product with strong anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties and can also be applied topically.

Olive Leaf Extract - The main constituent of olive leaf is the phytochemical oleuropein, which has broken down to elenolic acid, which have a powerful anti-bacterial effect, and has the ability to interfere with critical amino acid production essential for viruses.

For preventing the recurrence of cold sores another consideration should be Lysine, this is an amino acid and interferes with replication of herpes viruses (cold sores).

Also try avoid high-arginine foods as these nourish the virus, so limit your intake of nuts, peanuts, and chocolate.
