    Default Falafels

2 Tins Chick Peas (480g of soaked peas)
    10g fresh Parsley leaves
    1 Large Garlic Clove, Crushed
    1 Large Onion, Chopped
    1tsp Coriander
    1tsp Cumin
    1tsp Salt

Put all the ingredients in a food processor and blend into a paste.

Shape into Burgers about 1/2" thick and about 3" Wide.

Heat enough cooking oil in a frying pan to cover half the height of the burgers, 1/4" deep. The oil should be hot enough so that when it comes into contact with the falafel mix bubbles form around it.

Cook two or three at a time, when the burgers are browned and crispy on one side flip them over and cook the other side (this should only take 2 or 3 minutes). When cooked drain and place on some kitchen roll to absorb the oil.
Keep the ones you've done warm in the oven while you cook the rest.

After some feedback from a friend who tried this recipe, if it falls apart in the frying pan then try adding some flour to the mix to thicken it.

Will give this a try sometime, Love falafels.

If anyone ever ventures to Portabelo Market there is a cafe called 'Falafel King' and they are good!

Servede in a Pita Bread with some green chilli sauce (looks like mint sauce) with salad and Houmous.

I Had another go at these yesterday, A wee bit of flour in the mix seemed to help out a bit. I also found that chilling them before frying, and coating them in flour before putting them in the pan also helped.

I have, however, eaten so many Falafels in the last day or so, that i'm sick of them.
