    i found it strangely addictive.

I love the game!! So addictive! I used to like the settings on Champ man 98+ where you can go to the user settings and see how long you have been playing for! lol the classic "check is the cat is still alive" You can lose days to that game.

I've been playing it since the begining as well. Lost many many hours playing it although not so much now, I dont really have the paitience for it anymore. Once I win something i tend to give up!

I'll still be buying the new version when it comes out though.
Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in.

The first time I played this was round my friends house, Champ Manager 2. Back then computers were very rare so he was the cool kid on the block. My first purchase was 97/98 and that game was immence. Funnily enough I've recently started playing my latest edition again 03/04. I always had the intention of getting a minnows team and living the dream but I never got round to it. Up until now that is. I've chosen Rochdale and I'm about to start my 3rd season with them. In the first season the board expected me to fight bravely against relegation and I managed to finish one place out the playoffs! Was a bit gutted not to make the playoffs but I thought it was a good start considering I was managing a bunch of kids.

Things went a bit backwards in the second season just gone, I got off to an awful start which saw me in the bottom four at christmas. I great run of results followed but it was too little too late and I ended up finishing 13th. I managed to get to the 3rd round of the FA cup and the Semi's of the Vans Trophy.

I've got a transfer budget of £230,000 which is a hell of a lot better than what I started my first season with which was £9000. A bit of shrewd business saw me sell a player worth £150,000 for £300,000. OK, he was my star player but my back-up has proved more than effective in replacing him. I'd go as far as to say he's brought more stability to the midfield.

Just in the process of scouting for new talent before the new season starts. Need to bolster the defence a bit and could do with another left sided midfielder.

    Happy gaming

Hey guys, just an update on what's happened since my last post. I got the boys promoted to the second division in the following season by finishing 3rd (top 4 gained automatic promotion). In my first season in the second division I was expected to 'fight bravely against relegation'. I managed to do this by finishing 18th, the same season saw me lift the Vans trophy too. All in all a pretty good season. For the season just gone I was given odds of 80-1 of winning the league which basically translates to 'fighting for survival'.

    Guess what happened next

    Spoiler:

You know you've made it when the fans want to immortalise you
