Beans, lentils and peas

Wholemeal and granary breads
Jacket potatoes
Wholegrain breakfast cereals These are just leathal with me
Wholemeal pasta and brown rice
Prunes
figs, fresh or dried

Tomatoes, beer and cigs all 3 help me.... If someone wreckons on a big fat cock up the arse you've got more than constipation to worry about..
snickers + tea = biggest shit ever
Any foods that are high in fibre, many of which are listed above. You should aim for around 30-35 grams a day. I find the easiest way is to start with Weetabix for breakfast.
"There are two ways to slide easily through life: to believe everything or to doubt everything; both ways save us from thinking." - Alfred Korzybski
"Alcohol, the cause of, and solution to, all of life's problems" - Homer J. Simpson
Plenty of soluble fibre, a good natural source is Psyllium husk. But one of the main reasons for constipation is simple, people don;t drink enough fluids. Drinking 1.5-2l of water per day will make sure the stools remain soft and constipation should be a thing of the past.
Taking a soluble fibre product, such as Psyllium, will also gently cleanse your bowel/colon. Adults can have up to 5lbs of impacted matter lodged in their colon, especially those who eat large amounts of red meat. This rotting matter can lead to bowel/colon cancers and also affect the health of your entire digestive system and as your digestive system drives your immune system, it's crucial you try and make it as healthy as possible.
thanks guys that was really helpful
If you really want to go - Cherries or Mangoes... but you need to eat a fair amount. I've learnt that they both make you go, due to my own greed... lol!
I recommend at least 3 mangoes or a pound of cherries (M&S black ones...yumm!)
Only problem is that when that tap is opened, you really GO.
Beer and a curry does it for me m8.

Liquorice is good, not too strong.
Well,
i dont know the correct word in english, but in german it is named "Flohsamen".
It works great end isnt too agressiv or strong. Just naturally.
mints act as a laxative if you have to many such as softmints
my mom said linseed as a tea..
C'mon guys can't people be serious. We all know beer / sig's / curry aren't good for ya. Something that doesn't give u a burning ring at the end of it, mints as stated above do work quite well.
Mints that contain Sorbitol - a sugar replacement (like saccharine but not !) are known to be a laxative. In fact I think they warn of this on the packets.
My own personal surprise was these bio/daily yoghurt pot thingies, at the moment I'm using Actimel - but I've tried loads of different ones and they all seem good. They don't act as a laxative as such for me but they do make me more regular and (sorry about this) the consistency of the motions are heaven. Perfect size and like a well greased mars bar (fun size), no residue (as in 'hardly a greasemark on the paper') and no smell as it slides out into the water without any explosions and they make a perfect dive without splashbacks.
Maybe too much information here for some people but I honestly can't rate these little yoghurty things highly enough. Maybe with my lifestyle, these things just work, who knows.
Hope this helps you to work things out.
What if the Hokey Cokey "IS" what it's all about?
Pear juice and prunes will do the trick!!
