Because they don't fit into the seats and make the journey uncomfortable for the person sat next to them.

Friend is a pilot and can't remember the exact weight but it is something around 11.5 stone they say is the average person (to work out fuel etc) and in America it is a stone or so more.

Found some 'official' statistics for you. Bearing in mind that the fat f**ks in F*** Off I'm Fat are definitely going to be categorised as morbidly obese.

Morbid obesity stood at 0.2 per cent amongst men and 1.4 per cent amongst women in 1993. By 2000, the figures were 0.6 per cent and 2.3 per cent, and by 2002, they were 0.8 per cent and 2.6 per cent.

With an adult population in the UK of approx 48 million that means in 2002 there were about 384,000 grossly fat men & just over a million grossly fat women. Thats a lot of fat b***ards.

Taken from http://www.politics.co.uk/issue-briefs/health/public-health/obesity/obesity-$366627.htm - (the stats, they don't use the term fat f**ks or fat b***ards on their site).
