    Default Outlook Send/Receive

When I opened Outlook the other day (office 2003) it said "receiving 1 of 10" just like it would when 10 e-mails were coming through however it went up 1,2,3 etc. and got to 10 and there were still no e-mails in my inbox or my outbox or anywhere??

Now when I open it it says "receiving 1 of 3" but again I get no e-mails coming through. It's almost like 10 e-mails have been sent to me but it struggles in receving them and they see mto be going somewhere else other than my inbox.

I hope someone understands what I mean, it is very odd that I would not get at least one e-mail in 3/4 days so maybe there is a problem somewhere?

LOL, no they're is nothing in the junk folder. Maybe I should have explianed that although I didnt think anyone on here would even need to state anything so obvious. Not in my inbox, outbox, junk, deleted items...nowhere

It might be your profile has corrupted in some way-Export your mailbox to a .pst and re-import it, they might show up then
Go into outlook, file>import/export>export to a file>personal file(pst)>click on your mailbox at the top and make sure the "include sub folders" tab is ticked>save to desktop for now>next>finish
Then go back into file>import/export>import from a file>pst file>select the file on desktop>next>finish

cheers for this, the problem is after I have done this bit, "click on your mailbox at the top and make sure the "include sub folders" tab is ticked" there is no option to choose where to save the exported file so I cannot save it to desktop therefore when I attempt to import I have no idea where it is?

Done this now mate but nothing came through. Maybe no e-mails are waiting to come through although why then would I get this "receiving 1 of 10" crap??

In that case it might be the web based mail deleting junk, I used to get similar a few years ago with mine, it would d/l the smtp headers and nothing else, so you would not see any emails- Check your junk folder on your web mail and you will probably see a load in there

    SoundOfFaz -

This thing rarely happens but can be caused by a corrupt Antivirus program, especially AVG.
Try uninstalling your AV software and try again.

disrespect.. ffs.. fine, next time i wont bother making a suggestion.

pissing me off the amount of ungrateful people we have on this board who are offended by swearing.. despite a single swear word in my post it was a perfectly valid suggestion.
