Where to get UV tats?!

I have been looking (mainly on yell.com). I am looking for someone in Essex but there aren't any that I could find. I found some in Surrey but it is a bit too far to travel.

Just wondering if anyone knew of any places? its only going to be a UV outline on a custom black tribal.

Any tattooist will be able to do it mate, its only a different ink, but I would be careful using UV ink, not sure how widely tested it it, and I didn't think that many tattooists would actually use it, but I may be wrong.

i thought the ink was a cancer causer or something or have they changed what its made from? that and the uv one only last so long dont they?

Ok firstly thanks for the recommendations! Basildon isn't too far! Any comments on his work though?

There are dangerous inks around but I will find out what it is made of before I get it done, I done some research and can't remember the site but one offers toxic free UV ink (think the site name has chameleon in it :S).


And thirdly I'm not sure how long they last, haven't seen any mention on it but they haven't been used for too long, but after a year they ar completely invisible in daylight as the scarring is fully healed.

As I said I'm only having more subtle bits in UV, not the whole tat, so should be fine. I will try to get some money and let you all know how my quest goes

I shall be emailing that american artist, a link to his UV album was posted a while back. He has done some great work, many will remember the skeleton UV tat.

do you spend alot of time near uv lights though cos if not id suggest getting a normal one done and a uv marker pen and light (the light so you can see what your doin when you draw it on yourself) then at least you can wash it off at the end of the night and it'll always be fresh that way

Hmm, nice thought, might well do that. Reckon I will get the main done separately anyway so will give me time to decide.

actually i don't mind uv tats, ok it's a bit of a gimmick. But at least you cant see it if u dont like it.

Wow, the first time in a while I haven't seen you flame something Wizer! Well I like them for the same reason as you, on top of that they are something different and can add effect to the original tat e.g. in a club. Am going to do as Casio says to see if I like it then go for it if all is good.
