I'm new to this
Good point, I've not seen any this year. From what i can remember its when its starts to get frosty when they come through.
Still quite hot for this time of year. I used to buy them in a shop in Canterbury but im not sure if the law is still the same when it comes to buying them.
Nothing beats a nice fresh out the field taste, I always get a dodgy gut ache first and then we're off.............!
not for sale any longer, the law changed last year mid-july I think.
From what I know, the frosty days are when it's just too late. You gotta catch the dewy mornings before the cows go tripping.
I think it is too hot at the moment, and it might've killed the entire season for some places (especially those that are well known and hit constantly by god damn hippies).
Just thought I'd see who else was looking so at least if someone's found some we can begin to think 'ah ok it's 6am and I might actually go today'.

There were loads about last weekend down my way.
A few of my m8s went picking them and got a few thousand to keep them going for the weekend.
taff.
Lol. Quiggans or Aflex Palace in Manchester sell them... but in the wild i think its another month before they arrive.
i have already had a giant puffball. but still quiet for anything else.
no sigh of my yearly stash of shaggy inkcaps..
Sometimes i like nasty close ups,
Sometimes I like them air brushed,
Sometimes it's a spread brown eye,
Sometimes it's girl on girl.
Sometimes a steamy letter will do it.
And not often, but sometimes I like the idea of a chick
with a horse.
None shops sell them anymore, they're totally illegal now have been since last year.
Doesn't even matter if they're fresh anymore, fresh or dried out, they're now a class A drug alongside heroin etc
Totally ridiculous in my opinion!
Really?! I'm going to manchester on thursday... I'll have a butchers in afflex and see whats going down. Class A... well I never.
Nothing will be going down lol unless they're selling them under the counter risking their livelyhood.
Never knew there was a quiggins in manchester either, one in Liverpool just shut down recently council or someone forced them out.
some shops might still do under the counter, I believe you can still find them in camden.
you can still buy fly agaric mushrooms and pantherina mushrooms and
hawaiian baby woodrose seeds and a few others
Download my latest breaks and electro mixes or listen to Sellout Breaks FM
Or just order them in grow packs from Holland
I grew my own...but don't touch them now after a particularly bad trip where I felt I was losing my mind.
Its been a few years since my last Shrum trip. Used to pick Liberty Caps locally, but most of the fields seemd to dry up, maybe it was just bad seasons.
They're probably the only drugs I'd really do these days; Had some great times on them (not that I'm advocating use of them) Dunno if its just me, but I've had crazy trippy dreams for as long as I can remember. I think shrums opened my mid a bit too far. lol
As for best enviroments to go picking; I always used to go in the mornings when it was damp/dewey, and found the best fields for picking had roads running alongside them & were usually not flat (slanted hilly type fields). I think the air movement from cars spread the spores and increased the crop.
Good luck and make sure you know what your picking before you munch or brew them.
Regards, I_B :bats
Are these any good ? ("captured" on Sunday down Anglesey way) LOL

No pongo i dont think thats worth eating, though it might not prove an agonising death... even so, if you wanna get high mr psilocibin is your best bet... i'm told that the week following 17th September is best for shrooming.. though god knows how global warming is messin that up now.. the seasons are meant to be shifting by about a week in any direction.. i reckon next weekafter this weeks warm indian summer, followed by gales. the warmish wet weather is best.. i'm also told that the field adjacent to otley pig station is a prime picking site, leeds.. not that i've ever got them from there. we went to the lakes and hate anything that looked remotely toxic ;0)
Does anyone have any photos of any that ARE worth picking? I'm going uni in a week after all . Oh, and people: I think that we should start posting some of the stories that must be waiting to be told of what has happened when you've been high, or the resultant effects (Bad guts, etc lol.).
