yeh i mean a custom control so that you press my two arrows ^ and a down arrow to scroll, rather than using the browsers scroll bar, I realise this will affect accessibility but as its for a visual design tool it doesnt really matter

I cant provide and answer to this but I sure as hell would like a solution. I bumped into this whilst designing my new site. A couple of arrows as opposed to a whole scroll bar would have been nice.

I have some javascript lying around somewhere that will scroll content within a div but I'll have to go through it and check that it is clear enough to post (it is company property). How handy are you with Javascript? The code was designed for use within an MCE browser and makes a number of assumptions that the page will contain a number of MCE specific tags so it'll need re-writing a little.

However - What it will let you do is define an iframe and within the parent frame you add controls to images that when clicked upon allow you to scroll the iFrame. Is this what you want?

I might have to PM you the code and I really do need to check the code tomorrow so please give me a nudge sometime tomorrow afternoon.
