can you use a Connectivity Kit on ms28 drive to flash

iv got a new 360 and its got a ms28 drive do not want to rip the drive apart iv tryed the 10 sec one still does not find the drive or even try to read the bios in it tryed both master ands slave ports no joy casn you use the kit as iv heard it bricks the ms28

Ive used both mate, bricked one with connectivity kit (power error after keep plugging/unlugging manually).
I use the console now as the switch (safer imo) on these MS28's and have had zero probs this way.

bricked how this is my 4th 360 do not want to brick this if the connectivity does that
dam all so this dam thing froz this morning on a demo when me lad was playing on it .......ffs im not having good luck with the 360 .........

ok can some on tell me what why thay used with the connectivity kit to flash it with ms28

I wouldn't use the connectivity kit for the ms28, the one important thing they missed when making this version of the kit was a power on off switch.
because you have no on off switch you have to pull the power on the kit to get it switched off,then plug it back in while power from your pc is still on.

iv seen on another forum of some one bricking there 360 doing some thing like that as yo say was not made to do that god dam 360

You don't need to do the two wire trick m8! Thats only for Hitachi's that are being flashed in windows, you've got a Sammy which you should be flashing throught DOS, I say just use the 360 to power the drive, and plug the SATA into your PC, you dont need to get this drive into ModeB, so there's no problem!

like i said done loads of 360's and never bricked 1 yet using the kit
i think its down to peeps not plugging in properly
done a few ms 28's and all work fine

i use the power from a external hard drive to usb board to switch the connectivity kit on and off. i think its alot safer as theres an on/off switch on them if u need to turn off the xecutor connectivity kit without having to yank power plugs out

I think he means that hes uses the power from an external hard drive case as it uses its own power and has an on/off switch.
