Daytime Gatso Flash?

Can anyone tell me if a gatso flash is strong enough be seen in the offending car during the day?

The reason why I ask is that I went through a gatso and it was real borderline if I got flash or not. However, due to me concentrating on speedo and breaking I wasn't looking in rear view mirror to see if it flashed.

Just wondering if you still notice a "lightening flash" during the daytime?

Yes, it flashes day or night, and you do usually notice it in your mirrors in your pheriferal (sp?) vision because it is fairly bright

you would have noticed it unless doing your lippy or something

A police car with it's blues and twos on set off a camera as it passed me in the opposite direction at lunch time yesterday and the flash was quite bright and definately noticable.
